How do I update to a new version?
Download the latest zip from this page. Upload the new files to your server, overwriting the existing ones. Do not overwrite inout-data.json — that contains all your board data. Your license key is stored in license.dat and carries over automatically.
I moved to a new domain. How do I get a new license key?
Contact support@creativeinout.com with your original and new domain. We’ll issue a replacement key at no charge and deactivate the original.
I lost my license key. Can I get it again?
Yes. Email support@creativeinout.com from the address you used to purchase and we’ll resend your key.
Do I need to back anything up before updating?
Yes — back up inout-data.json before uploading new files. This file contains all your people, statuses, settings, and history. Everything else can be safely overwritten.
Will my data and settings carry over after an update?
Yes. All data lives in inout-data.json which you never overwrite. Settings, people, photos, and history are all preserved.
How do I know when a new version is available?
We email all customers when a new version is released. Make sure support@creativeinout.com is in your contacts so notifications don’t land in spam.
Is the annual maintenance plan required to get updates?
All 1.x.x releases (bug fixes and new features) are free for all license holders. A major version upgrade (2.0 or higher) may require purchase of a new license or an active Annual Maintenance plan.
